$1,050,000.00 - Our firm filed a workers compensation claim and third party claim on behalf of a 43 year old man injured while working at a cafeteria.  Our client walked into freezer, however the freezer had a light bulb out. After walking into the cooler our client fell  on some ice residue on the floor, causing him to do a split. Several weeks later he developed testicular pain which the doctors later related to his fall at work. Subsequently he had to have one testicle surgically removed (orchiectomy). He recovered fully in every other respect. Our firm was able to lump sum his claim for $1,050,000.00 and negotiated his liens down from $200,000.00 to $20,000.00. The lump sum was collected in full.

$750,000.00 - Our firm brought suit to recover for personal injuries that our client sustained when she was struck by a minivan while crossing the street. After conducting an investigation into the crash our firm decided to mediate the case. After 5 hours of mediation we reached a settlement with the driver's insurance company in the amount of $750,000.00. This amount was paid in full.

$650,000.00 - Our firm brought suit on behalf of the family of a 85 year old woman. While at the Defendant’s nursing home, she suffered a catastrophic and fatal fall from her bed when left unattended by nursing home’s staff. After extensive discovery, including 13 depositions, our firm learned that the employee, caring for the Plaintiff at the time of the fall, was not certified in Massachusetts and never should have been working. Within months of a trial, the Defendant requested that the Plaintiff mediate this case and after an extensive mediation the Plaintiff was able to settle this case for $650,000.00.

$400,000.00 - Our firm brought suit on behalf of the family of a 93 year old man; who was negligently cared for at the Defendant’s nursing home. While at the nursing home, staff destroyed my client’s dentures and continued to provide him with sandwiches and chips (that he could not safely eat, because he had no dentures and therefore could not chew). As a result, my client developed aspiration pneumonia and subsequently died. Due to the financial condition of the Defendant’s nursing home it was decided to try to mediate the case before trial. During this 7 hours mediation the Plaintiff was able to settle this case for $400,000.00.

$300,000.00 - Our firm brought suit on behalf of an 18 year old woman, who was severely bullied when she was in 6th grade. As a result of this bullying, my client had severe depression, suicidal thoughts, and hurt herself. After conducting extensive discovery, including over 10 depositions, the Plaintiff obtained ample evidence that the school was deliberately indifferent to the bullying and therefore violated Title IX. Defense counsel filed numerous motions to dismiss the case and a motion for summary judgment; however, our firm was successfully able to oppose all of these motions. Shortly before trial, the case was mediated before a Federal Judge and the Plaintiff settled this case for the highest dollar amount the school’s insurance company could pay $300,000.00.

$300,000.00 - Our firm brought suit on behalf of two families in which their mothers had been physically abused by a staff member while residing at a local nursing home.  Both residents were suffering from Alzheimer's/Dementia at the time of the assault and could not remember being assaulted. However, after conducting extensive discovery including close to 10 depositions, with one taking place in Georgia, the nursing home decided to settle these cases. After days of negotiating the settlement with representatives for the nursing homes these cases settled for $300,000.00. This amount was paid in full.

$275,000.00 - Our firm brought suit on behalf of the family of a 78 year old man suffering from Alzheimer's/Dementia. While at a nursing facility the man sustained stage 4 pressure sores, however these sores did not contribute to his subsequent death. After conducting discovery against the Defendants our firm decided to attempt to resolve the case through mediation. After 8 hours of mediation we reached a settlement with the nursing home in the amount of $275,000.00 and reduced a $44,000.00 lien to zero. The settlement was paid in full.

$250,000.00 - Our firm brought suit on behalf of a 70 year old woman involved in an automobile accident. As a result of this accident, my client suffered a tear in her rotator cuff. My firm was able to settle her claim for the maximum recovery amount provided by the parties’ bodily injury insurance coverage of $70,000.00. Luckily, my client had underinsured insurance (insurance that everyone should request that their insurance provider include) allowing my firm to collect another $180,000.00 for my client. Therefore, my client’s total recover was the maximum amount provided by all insurances policies - $250,000.00.

$225,000.00 - Our firm brought suit on behalf of a man injuries when he was cut off while riding his motorcycle in Quincy causing him to crash, injuring his shoulder. After conducting extensive discovery and due to our clients good recovery from him injuries our firm began negotiating a settlement of the case. The parties agreed to a settlement of $225,000.00. This amount was paid in full.
